Founded in 1968 by the late Dr. Xenophon Damianos, Damianos Realty Group has been a successful family-owned and operated commercial real estate company specializing in cutting-edge office, retail, industrial and land development for over five decades.

Early in his career Dr. Damianos recognized the pressing need for medical office space and was a pioneer in the special niche of developing innovative medical complexes, nursing facilities and adult homes. Over the years Damianos Realty Group has created thriving projects throughout Long Island, with acquisitions in Smithtown, Babylon, Center Moriches, Lake Grove, St. James, Patchogue, Port Jefferson Station, Shirley, Stony Brook, Hauppauge, Islandia, Melville, and Medford NY. Today Damianos Realty Group has acquired over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of all types of commercial space, including office buildings, shopping centers, industrial buildings and warehouses. Our highly specialized management team has a proven track record of over 50 years in leasing, acquisitions, architectural and engineering design, property management and construction. MEET OUR TEAM

John J. Finn

Director of Leasing & Acquisitions

John Finn is a partner and the Director of Leasing and Acquisitions at Damianos Realty Group LLC (“DRG”). He joined DRG in 1998 and has proved himself to be an invaluable asset to the firm. John has played an active role in DRG’s growth and expansion and has successfully negotiated countless transactions for the 25 properties in the firm’s impressive commercial portfolio, all while managing to oversee the day-to-day operations. John is the Town of Smithtown’s designee for the Suffolk County Planning Commission, a position for which he was nominated by the County Executive and confirmed by the Suffolk County Legislature. His responsibilities at the Commission include establishing a Comprehensive Plan for Suffolk County, review of site plans and zoning actions and reporting annually to the Legislature on the status of the County. John and his team at DRG were awarded the prestigious “Developer of the Year” by The Association for a Better Long Island and The Commercial Industrial Broker Society for the firm’s projects located at 1377 Motor Parkway, a 170,000 sq ft Class A corporate office building in Islandia, and 100 Hospital Road, a 54,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical building in Patchogue. John was instrumental in the design, development and leasing of 100 Hospital Road, which was accomplished in just over a year after the first shovel hit the ground. He is a member of the Long Island Business News 40 Under 40 Club, which recognizes outstanding individuals in the business community on Long Island. John is also a recipient of the Top Commercial Real Estate Power Brokers award from Costar, the largest commercial real estate information company in the United States, and is an Associate Member of the Commercial Industrial Broker’s Society. He is actively involved in charitable and fund-raising events throughout Long Island, including the YMCA of Long Island. John has served as a member of the Corporate Board of Directors for the YMCA of Long Island for over a decade. He is an avid golfer who lives in St. James with his wife and his two children.
