Smithtown-based Damianos Realty Group has acquired a two-building retail property in Commack.

2160 Jericho Turnpike LLC, an affiliate of Damianos Realty Group LLC, purchased the 52,679-square-foot property on nearly 6 acres at 2160 Jericho Turnpike for $16.1 million.

Tenants at the fully occupied property include Applebee’s, PetSmart and the Sanjha Bazaar food market, which opened in Nov. 2024. The sale price equates to a 6.9 percent cap rate.

“We see tremendous growth potential in this property and are confident that it will be a valuable asset for our company,” Pelops Damianos of Damianos Realty Group LLC, said in a company statement. “This acquisition expands our retail footprint in the Suffolk County market and aligns perfectly with both our growth strategy and mission statement.”

The Commack retail asset is DRG’s 11th property in the Town of Smithtown and its third shopping center in Suffolk County.

John Finn, director of Leasing and Acquisitions at Damianos Realty Group LLC, said: “Its location on Jericho Turnpike and Veteran’s Memorial Highway offers unparalleled convenience for the community, and we look forward to offering a dynamic retail environment that meets the needs of local residents and businesses.”

Finn served as the in-house representative for DRG, while Adam Silber of Silber Investment Properties represented the seller, Toy Fields LLC, in the Commack sales transaction.

“We had such a great experience with John Finn and the rest of the Damianos Realty Group,” Silber told LIBN. “As a broker, you can’t ask for anything more than a buyer that is honest, decisive and informed about the market to help facilitate a smooth transaction.”
