X. Cristofer Damianos, principal of Damianos Realty Group, joined the family business in 1981. His vision and leadership have guided the company through its tremendous growth throughout Suffolk County. Damianos oversees acquisitions, development and management of more than 1 million square feet of commercial real estate on Long Island.
Damianos is a Suffolk County Legislature-appointed member of the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency. He is also a member of the Village of Nissequogue’s zoning board of appeals, the Association for a Better Long Island and the Real Estate Institute at Stony Brook University. He is the former founder and vice chair of Gold Coast Bank, former president and treasurer of St. George’s Golf & Country Club, a former New York State governor-appointed trustee of the Long Island Power Authority, former trustee of St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and former trustee and vice chairman of the Long Island Museum of American Art, History and Carriages.
Damianos was honored as Man of the Year by Brookhaven Memorial Hospital and is a two-time (2011 and 2019) recipient of the ABLI Developer of the Year Award. Other accolades for Damianos and his company include the LIBN Redevelopment of the Year Award for 2019 and recognition as the LIBN Reader Rankings Best Property Management Company and Best Office Building for six consecutive years.
Damianos holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and a Master of Business Administration from Adelphi University.
